ABOUT OCEM
Ocem was established as an engineering industry in 1926 by Ugo Giannelli, who was then only 22 years old. Yet, it's only in 1953 - due to the increasing request of building materials - that OCEM starts designing and producing presses for the production of marble-chip terrazzo tiles.

Since the very beginning, OCEM machines distinguished themselves from the other machines on the market for their great sturdiness and the ingenious use of compressed air for auxiliary movements. This feature makes the plant design and the servicing a lot simpler.

In the following years, led by Ugo's son, Eng. Giuliano Giannelli, OCEM dominated the markets of the whole world as a reference standard for design, construction and innovativeness, which features led the OCEM presses to grow bigger and more productive, yet remaining easy to use and reliable.

Today Eng. Giuliano's son, Ugo Giannelli junior, has joined his father in the management of the company, and all tile-makers around the world know that turning to OCEM, they can rely on over sixty years of experience and be able to choose from a range of solutions, both for sigle-layer and for double-layer technologies, capable to meet their present and future needs, with linear and rotative presses, ranging from 115 to 1400 ton.
